James Hook is a Director in the CCC Private Equity Fund. Prior to joining CCC, James worked for six years at Apax Partners, where he focused on venture, growth and buy-out investments, with an emphasis on semiconductors and clean technology.
Examples of James' deals include NXP, the largest tech buy-out in Europe, and Q-Cells, one of the most successful venture-backed IPOs.
Prior to Apax, James spent three years as a strategy consultant with Analysys Consulting, where he served new-entrant and incumbent fixed/wireless operators throughout Europe, America and Asia.
James graduated with an M.Eng. degree in electronic and information engineering from Oxford University, following which he joined ARM as a silicon engineer.
James speaks fluent German.
