CCC named in Phoenix 50 Top Pioneers list

(London 26 March 2009) Climate Change Capital has been named as one of the world’s top pioneers in the business of social innovation. The London based investment manager and advisor  has been included in the Phoenix 50 pioneers of the new economy. The list, with nominations coming from entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, has been compiled by Volans, the London based think tank and consultancy working to find solutions to financial, social and environmental challenges of social innovation.

The Phoenix Economy report from Volans explores the new markets, technologies and business models that are ‘emerging from the ashes of the old economic order.’

Climate Change Capital is described as ‘an investment management firm specialising and advocating for new opportunities generated by the global transition to the low carbon economy.’

Mark Woodall, CCC’s chief executive said:’We are proud that CCC’s efforts have been recognised by our peers. Through our funds and our advisory work we will continue our efforts to create the low carbon economy and in the process create wealth worth having.’
