CCC Appoints Stephen Lilley to Run its New European Renewable Energy Infrastructure Team

(London - 7 June 2010) Climate Change Capital, the environmental investment manager and advisory group, has set up a new European renewable energy infrastructure asset management team and has appointed Stephen Lilley, who until recently was one of the principals in the European infrastructure fund run by M&G/Prudential Group, to head it up.

Shaun Mays, CCC's chief executive, said: "With our partners in the EU increasingly committed to stricter emissions targets and a new UK government, it has become clear that this will mean a massive change in the way we make and consume energy. The complete overhaul of the energy infrastructure will need considerable amounts of private capital to finance it. We are delighted to have attracted someone of Stephen Lilley's experience and expertise to help us contribute to these projects."

Stephen Lilley said: "The investment needs in renewable generation over the coming years present a significant challenge. I am delighted to join a company with such market insight and skill."

While working at Infracapital Partners LP, the M&G/Prudential fund, Lilley (42) led over £400m of investment including the Kelda Group (Yorkshire Water), Zephyr (wind farms investment) and Meter Fit (gas/electricity metering investment) transactions.

Prior to this he was a Director at Financial Security Assurance.  He was originally a Physics graduate of Durham University and has an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School. Stephen is married with two children. He is a keen golfer and a patient Leeds supporter.
