Climate Change Capital appoints Chief Executive and Vice Chairman

Climate Change Capital (CCC), the specialist merchant-banking group, has appointed Mark Woodall as Chief Executive Officer and James Cameron as Vice Chairman.

Since its launch in October 2003, CCC has grown into the leading financial house for companies and institutions affected by the policy and capital market responses to climate change and now employs over 60 people located in London, Paris, Madrid and Washington, D.C.

Mark moves from his previous role as Managing Partner and Co-Head of Advisory at CCC. As Chief Executive Officer Mark will have overall responsibility for delivering the company’s strategy.

James, through his role as Vice Chairman, will expand on the areas he was responsible for as Head of Policy at CCC. James was instrumental in the development of the Climate Change Capital Carbon Fund: the world’s first carbon emissions hedge fund and will continue to work on long term strategy, investigate new investment opportunities for CCC and represent the firm at the highest levels of business and government.

Commenting on the appointments Otto Van der Wyck, Chairman of CCC, said:

“As CCC extends and accelerates its growth the Board is keen that the company fully maximises the considerable talent of its senior managers and continues to deliver quality services to its clients and shareholders. These appointments deliver a management structure with both the flexibility and discipline required to manage an increasingly complex business and take advantage of the opportunities presented by these high growth markets.”
