WEF Annual Meeting of the New Champions

James Cameron, Vice Chairman, will be taking part in a number of sessions at the World Economic Forum "Summer Davos" in Asia.

On the 14th September he will be a panellist on an interacitve session entitled: What Next for the Climate Challenge?               

Despite little hope for a binding agreement on greenhouse gas emissions, the upcoming summit in Cancun, Mexico, will be key to maintaining momentum in global climate talks. What actionable steps should leaders focus on in Cancun to rebuild trust and ensure progress in areas such as deforestation, energy and finance?

James will be joined by Su Wei, Director-General, Department of Climate Change, National Development and Reform Commission, People's Republic of China 

On the 15th September James will be moderating an Interactive Session entitled Clean Growth:  How to Finance It

Universal access to clean energy in developing countries will require close to US$ 220 billion in capital investment per year through 2020.  How can private investment in clean growth and development be accelerated?
