MENA Carbon Forum 2009

Edmond Sassine of the carbon finance team will be speaking about the CDM potential in MENA region at the Middle East and North African Carbon Forum 2009. The session will focus on an overview of the MENA carbon market, barriers to the CDM uptake in MENA region as well as recommendations to overcome these barriers.

The MENA forum will combine a carbon investment trade fair, conference and policy forum and will bring together various stakeholders that are active in the carbon market. As part of the event, the World Bank will present and discuss the outcomes of an analytical and technical study, which was conducted to review and assess the CDM market potential in the MENA region
