Low Carbon Retrofit: Promise versus reality

Tim Mockett, Partner, Climate Change Property Fund, will be speaking at this CIBSE conference where he will be building the case for investment into retrofit, drawing from examples of the success stories from CCPF's own portfolio.

The UK Government has committed to binding carbon emission reduction targets, aiming at reducing national emissions by 80% below 1990 levels by 2050. Given that 70% of existing buildings will still be in use in 2050, improving the environmental performance and reducing the carbon emissions of existing properties is vital if we are to meet such challenging targets.

The conference sets out to identify some of the key challenges and opportunities with which we are faced, and highlighting current best practice in delivering low carbon retrofit.
