Ventus range defies downturn

"Despite a growing consensus in favour of environmental investing, share values took a hit last year after a dip in one of its major economic drivers - energy prices. Now that the oil price in particular is a long way off its peak, renewables look less cost efficient than before.

Nevertheless, some investment vehicles have grown through the carnage. Climate Change Capital's Ventus range of venture capital trusts, which focus on UK-based renewable energy projects, returned an average of 14.4 per cent over one year to April 6."
