Declining water supply brings a deluge of ideas
Mike Scott reports on the shortage of the world's water supply causing companies to develop new initiatives in infrastructure, filtration and irrigation.
James Cameron, Vice Chairman of Climate Change Capital says "Managing water will be a premium business to be in."
Companies which are now looking at new ways to preserve this precious resource include Unilever and its innovative washing powder which reduces the amount of rinsing required, for use in Indian Markets and Zander Group pioneering a moisture retaining material which works by slowly releasing water to roots and therefore decreasing the need for irrigation and rainfall.
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development will be launching its report on this subject next week.
