Australia’s carbon market gears up after Senate vote

And it has certainly given a boost to the latest round of international climate talks, which begin in Durban at the end of this month. The move by Australia is "the first time in many years when a country has actually upped the denominator rather than lower it," James Cameron, vice-chairman of investment firm Climate Change Capital told Bloomberg.
