The 0.5MW demonstration wood chip biomass plant located in Pickering, North Yorkshire, England, UK is owned by PBM Power Limited and generates electricity from waste wood.

Climate Change Capital’s Ventus Funds were involved in a £4.8m joint investment in PBM Power Limited with Mid-UK Recycling Ltd and Bioflame Ltd to finance the construction of a larger 2.5 megawatt energy-from-waste power generation facility located at Caythorpe in Lincolnshire.

Electricity generated from the site is expected to be equivalent to that consumed by approximately 4,200 homes.
